Miles Nichols, Acupuncturist
Miles Nichols is a licensed acupuncturist and functional medicine practitioner. His central focus is on promoting robust health, happiness regardless of circumstances, and inspired purpose. He enjoys working both with chronic conditions and with healthy individuals who are focusing on prevention and evolution. While helping clients work towards reversing illness, he also assists with letting go of resistance and stress around the way things are so that there can be a light-heartedness through the process of healing and growth.
|Miles holds a functional medicine certification through the Kalish Institute, & has been mentored and personally trained by Dr. Kalish. He completed his Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, a 4-year full time program involving over 3000 hours of training and including more than 1000 hours of clinical experience. He is presently working on a Doctorate in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine where he is focusing on the herbal treatment of functional root causes. He also completed a Bachelors of Arts in Contemplative Psychotherapy and a year in a Masters program for Contemplative Psychotherapy, both at Naropa University. At Naropa, he focused on mindfulness as his central study. Miles has been teaching mindfulness movement and meditation classes for more than a decade.
Miles has devoted his life to health and preventative wellness since his father, a medical doctor with top notch conventional medical training from Stanford Medical School and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard, suddenly passed on from a heart attack when Miles was 15 years old. This inspired Miles to, from that time forward, passionately dive into medical research and train with top health experts so that he can help himself and other prevent illness and reverse chronic health conditions. He offers an integrative approach that addresses both the mind and the body, allowing him to deliver lasting results to clients. He uses functional medicine lab testing followed by working with nutrition, lifestyle, mindfulness practices, herbs and supplement protocols for correcting labs and optimizing wellness.
Miles practices what he calls Mindfulness Medicine, a functional medicine and mindfulness-based mind-body approach, which integrates the best from these three fields:
This allows him to emphasize more than just physical health. He takes a true mind+body approach that looks at resolving root causes in a way that is evidence-based and clinically effective.
Miles is able to, with this approach, address a trifecta of integrative wellness:
By helping clients to optimize integrative health, cultivate happiness regardless of circumstances, and evolve to the next level of development, Miles takes a truly holistic approach to medicine.
