Lisa Bauer, LMT, BCPP, APH, AHG
Lisa Bauer is a Healing Arts Practitioner, experienced in the application and integration of various spa therapies and healing modalities in support of health and wellness. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Colorado, New Mexico, and Florida; a Board Certified Polarity Practitioner (BCPP); Cranial Sacral Therapist; Associate Pranic Energy Healer (APH); and a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild (AHG).
|Over the past 20 years, through a combination of formal education and varied experience in high-end spas and hotels in New Mexico, Florida, and Colorado, she has been learning and practicing various traditional and non-traditional modalities including Aromatherapy Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Prenatal Massage, Swedish Massage, Polarity Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Reflexology, and Pranic Healing (a non-touch healing modality, focusing on chakra balancing and clearing).
Lisa graduated from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts (NMAHA) in 2011 as a licensed massage therapist (LMT), and a Board Certified Polarity Practitioner (BCPP). Her knowledge and expertise in Polarity Therapy and Cranial Sacral Therapy has been gained through her studies with Amanda Morningstar, Shanna Marsh, and Master Cranial Sacral Instructor Etienne Piersman. In addition to a private practice, her previous professional spa experience includes two “4-Star” Hotel Spas in New Mexico including the Eldorado Hotel Nidah Spa (downtown Santa Fe) and the Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs and Spa (one of the top 10 best Hot Springs Spa’s in the world, according to Spafinder, located in Ojo Caliente, NM); and most recently One Ocean, an upscale hotel resort spa on the beach in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
She moved to Colorado in April, 2016 from Florida and recently joined the Bodywork Bistro team in Boulder. She is a long-standing practitioner of the non-touch healing modality Pranic Healing, having taken numerous courses and volunteering to various local Pranic Healing clinics in Boulder and other communities.
In addition to her massage and spa expertise, she studied and gained her Certified Herbalist credential in 2005, specializing in Western Herbal Medicine. Lisa adheres to a regular daily yoga and meditation practice, and is a watercolor painter, with some of her designs commercialized into greeting cards available in several Northern New Mexico retail stores. A native of Detroit, Lisa has lived and worked in New York City, Long Island, NY., Chicago, Santa Fe, NM, and Jacksonville Beach, FL within the healing arts and graphic design industries. She is also a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York City (Manhattan), with a degree in Fashion Illustration.
